V-I Cadence Lick #1

by Dan Palladino

The V to I cadence is one of the most common. This lick has some twang to it, and you'll notice the melody outlines the chords nicely. The ending major 6 chord has a pedal steel quality to it.

Notice we have a G to F triad happening over the opening G7 chord? That will work over any dominant chord. Happy practicing!
